Please take Marincin back... The guy would be great on the Oilers, mainly because he wouldn't be here.

I feel like Freddy has earned an A despite the bad October.

I agree that Reilly has been good; I probably would have bumped up to A+. He's really exploded this season. I actually notice him on the ice this year--in a non-Marincin kind of way.

I think Anderson has been good overall, but not stellar.
Bad October .
Bad puck handling costing wins recently ( Tampa) .
Mediocre against Columbus and Ottawa this week.
But yeah, he probably deserves an A but I still have my doubts about him. I seem to be the only guy on the planet who feels that way but I am not yet convinced we can win with him as the guy. Would love to see the Leafs bring in someone to give him some rest and a little push.

If his current level of goaltending could be locked in for the rest of his contract, we'd be doing very, very well. He's been great. Everyone makes mistakes--some even cost the odd game here or there--but he's been very solid.

Nice to see him reach another level For sure has to do with having a better team in front of him. Not as many things to worry about. Just keep him well away from Gardiner's line.

Gardiner C+ ?????

Soft
Error prone
Devoid of any hockey sense

But he does skate like Nancy Kerrigan

He ranks 14th in save %, or roughly middle of the pack. A competent number 1 in my view but not a star in my opinion

did anyone else think that the Leaf's breakouts against Ottawa were some of the worst they've seen? At least in the third, I was paying more attention then, but there was zero creativity or even attempted avoidance of the obvious takeaways in the NZ by Ottawa.

I'm so sick of Jake Gardiner. Does he have trade value? I feel like he might. Package him with Kapanen, Bracco, picks, whatever, in exchange for a better defenseman. I can't stand watching him anymore

Connor Carrick - F
Roman Polak - F

A few weeks ago, I really thought the Leafs were gonna put Polak on waivers. The game has passed him by. Dermott is clearly ready, so I'm not sure why Polak is still here. Seems very Brian Burke-esque to keep him around

I really hope Dermott and Liljegren pan out. Lot of pressure for those kids to contribute in a meaningful way

Andersen is fine, he's giving us a chance to make postseason. His numbers in playoffs are really good. When he's dialed in, he's one hell of a goalie. I don't even know how many times he bailed us out in the Washington series last year.

Nope... I have never liked him

Overall, this year so far, we are the Sens if we don't have Andersen.

He hasn't been great recently but he has covered up for horrible play by the Leafs a lot this year.

I saw it differently against Washington, and the numbers are his save percentage was .915. Solid but not spectacular. I just think Leaf fans are so used to the Toskalas, Reimers, Berniers of this world we forget what a true star goalie like Belfour or Cujo is like.
I am not saying he is bad but I don't think he is a top ten guy either.

A month ago he was the best goalie in the league, with the way he was playing. There was a stretch where he was the only reason we were winning games.
